Tony's good friend Max Pomeroy is in danger,
when someone tries to kill him.
Tony and Max are visiting a friend who owns a shipping yard,
When suddenly someone operating a crane attempts to drop a
bunch of steel drums on Max.
Tony gives chase to the crane operator, and gets a license plate
from his car.
Tony follows the lead and finds out it was a Rental Car,
which leads him to a woman named Diane
Tony soon learns that Diane
works for an illegal casino operation,
and that she is really an unwilling employee,
working off what she could not pay to the house
because of her compulsive gambling habits.
Diane rented the vehicle,
but had no idea who was using the car she rented or why.
Tony decides to befriend Diane,
and help her get out of her gambling debts in an effort to
learn more about who wants Max dead, and why.
Not long after entering the casino with Diane,
she introduces Tony as her
cousin so
Tony can join the live action.
Even though the Casino is cheating,
Tony is able to clean up,
and takes the crooked casino for about $50,000
but before they can leave,
the casino operator calls Tony and Diane into his office
and confronts them about all the money Tony just made,
and insist they give the money back.
Tony & Diane are able to foil the Casino operator and his thug
and escape with the money.
Soon afterward, another attempt is made on Max's life,
and he is injured.
Tony arrives at Max's hotel just as the ambulance
is about to take off with Max inside,
but Diane recognizes the Ambulance driver
as the same man she rented the rental car for!
Tony gives chase,
and ends up on top of the ambulance holding on for dear life.
Tony is finally able to overcome the hit man driving the ambulance,
but the final scene reveals the Killers Boss,
as one of Max's friends,
who actually owned the illegal casino operation.
They wanted Max dead to prevent his testimony at a grand jury
