Larry Anderson - 2003

through the development of the
JawDroppers
Magic Video Collection, Larry invites you to
experience the power and pleasure of magic from
two exciting perspectives, as the person being
entertained, and as the entertainer.
Larry Anderson
was barely a legal adult, at the age of 21
when he was hired by Magician Mark Wilson as a Personal Assistant.
He was just eleven years old,
when he delved into the art of magic
after seeing a magician perform at a Cub Scout function.
No other creative endeavor could have provided such a solid foundation for
his eventual career path as an actor.
A keen understanding of the "psychology" of magic and misdirection,
as well as the mechanics of sleight-of-hand,
stage presence and timing took root in those early years.
By the time he was fourteen
he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians
and performing magic professionally.
Over the next six years he developed a reputation as one of the top young
entertainers in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Within only a few months after joining M.W. Productions,
a deal was made with Paramount Studios for
Mark Wilson to be the Magic Consultant for the TM.
Unfortunately for
Mark Wilson,
with the rigorus demands of shooting a television series,
he understood he could not build his own
Company confined to the Paramount lot every day,
so he turned over the day to day on-set magic consulting to his 21 year old
associate, Larry Anderson.
So It was Larry's Job
to do much of the one on one Magic training with Bill.
If anything, this was a dream Job for the young 21 year old, who also appeared
in several episodes and earned his own Screen Actors Guild Credits as a
result.
Before moving to California,
Larry attended two years at the University of Minnesota
as a theatre arts major,
and then at Brown Institute where he studied television production.
Upon completing his studies
and earning his First Class Engineer's License, he worked for a year as a
cameraman and sound engineer at the PBS and ABC affiliates
in the Twin Cities.
But, fame and fortune beckoned so Larry headed west.
He quickly landed a job with Mark Wilson. The next three years afforded Larry
opportunities he couldn't have dreamed of.
Larry prefers not to dwell on the past, but move forward. Although he readily
admits the years (1972-1973) hold special memory’s of the show and his
personal experiences working with Bill Bixby and the Cast and Crew over at
Paramount Studios.
Today,
Larry has a very successful Website
offering a Video Course in Magic for New Aspiring Magician’s
